Garner State Park
With nearly three miles of Frio River access, this beautiful gem is Texas’ most visited state park. Swim, rent a stand up paddleboard, kayak, or paddle boat, hike 16 miles of scenic trails, picnic, fish, putt-putt, geocache, visit their sweet shack, or enjoy the summertime nightly jukebox dances.
Frio Bat Cave
Witness 10 to 12 million Mexican Free-Tailed Bats ascend into the evening sky before sunset each night from March into September at the Frio Bat Cave. This is the second largest bat population in the world open to the public!
Horseback Riding
Visit Elm Creek Stables for pony rides, trail rides, and a petting zoo. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery as you ride across 2 miles of trails with the help of their friendly guides. Lots of fun for both beginners and experienced riders.
Tubing
There’s nothing like floating down the Frio River on a hot summer day. As one of the most majestic rivers, it’s known as one of the best to float in Texas.
